If you’re a tech geek and like to have all the latest gadgets, you were probably anticipating the launch of the Apple iPhone on June 29 and you might’ve lined up for a few days—neglecting relationships and personal hygiene—just to be the first to get your hands on one.

Apple’s new doohickey, for those of you who haven’t heard, represents the cutting edge of technology in cellular phones—combining a mobile phone, an iPod and computer complete with video playback and internet access.

It weighs in at 4.8 ounces (135 grams) and is 4.5 inches (115mm) long, 2.4 inches (61mm) wide and 0.46 inches (11.6mm) thick, a far cry from the big brick phones of yesteryear, but its size won’t hinder people who like to play mobile games. It features a 3.5 inch screen composed of scratch-resistant glass, ensuring you won’t be squinting to see that River card.

It uses Apple’s OS X operating system and while we lacked both the moolah and that juicy spot in line on the 29th, we do have access to the specs and with that in mind we will give you the new iPhone’s potential mobile gaming capabilities.
