13 September, 2007

POKER

The first ever World Series of Poker is underway in London, England.

Day 2b - September 13, 2007

Check out the previous day's results here

Day 2b ends.

Isabelle Mercier was eliminated after going All-in with sixes against Antanas "Tony" Guoga's pocket Ks. The board revealed another K and Mercier was done.

Barny Boatman has been eliminated.

Magnus Persson has lapped Patrik Antonius as chip leader. Persson's stack is $135,000.

Holding a pair of Qs (Clubs, Diamonds), Johnny Chan formed a Flush with QC high and won a $30,000 pot.

Howard Lederer gets an early exit after going All-in before the flop. Holding an AC-QH he watched the board go 9C-7H-4H-10H-8C. His opponent is holding KH-KD and Lederer is out.

Allen Cunningham is headed to the rail after going All-in. The flop came up J-8-7, with Cunningham holding pocket 7s and his opponent had pocket 8s. The board offered little help.

Dario Alioto might've won a bracelet in the Pot Limit Omaha event, but won't get one for the Hold'em Main Event. He's out of the tourney.

The man who knocked out Doyle Brunson, Justin Bonomo, is himself out of the World Series of Poker Europe. What goes around I guess.

Steve Billirakis is given the boot from the WSOPE.

Daniel Negreanu, Howard Lederer and Dario Alioto who won the WSOPE's Pot Limit Omaha are among the big names at the feature table.

As Day 2b starts Patrik Antonius is the chip leader with $76,150.

Days 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3, 4, Final Table
