Tennis Players Offered Money To Fix Matches?
09 Aug 07
According to a report in the L.A. Times, doubles player Bob Bryan said that players had received "anonymous phone calls" asking players to affect matches in exchange for money.

Coach and former player Larry Stefanki was asked for confidential information about a player at this year's Australian Open by two mysterious men.

Las Vegas has vowed to scrutinize tennis betting more in light of the recent events.

"Although this is the first I've ever heard of anyone questioning tennis players, this is something we'll keep a closer eye on," said the exec director of the Las Vegas Hilton's sportsbook, Jay Kornegay.
