	Former NYC Police Commissioner Howard Safir's security firm has been hired by the U.S. Tennis Association to ensure that illegal betting activity doesn't take place during the U.S. Open tennis tournament that starts Monday. USTA spokesman Chris Widmaier doesn't think that there is a widespread betting scandal, but want to be prepared just in case.
